VT is 9-6 with one game remaining...the game with Clemson will be for third place in the conference
even with a loss VT is likely to have a first round bye in the ACC tourney, Miami would have to win out to overtake the 4th spot
regardless, if VT wins they get 3rd place in the conference and should be a lock for the tourney

If it plays out like it should next Friday at 12 will be the first tournament game really. Maryland vs. VT, winner in loser goes home.

I truly believe if VT wins against Clemson, we're in...it will give us a win over a top 25 opponent and it would be extremely hard to keep out the 3rd place team in the ACC with 10 wins in the conference...no ACC has ever been kept out of the tourney with 10 conference wins, and no 9 win team with 20 overall wins has ever been kept out either

Yea I agree, thats why I said if it plays out like it should. You could make an argument that if Maryland wins Sunday @ UVA and then beats NC St. or BC on Thursday they are in as well. That would give them 10 overall ACC wins and 20 wins. Bubble is really weak this year.
